At NCALT, we work closely with our customers at all stages in the development process, from project initiation through content and audience analysis, scripting, design and development, to testing delivery, implementation and support.
One of our aims is to encourage multi-agency collaboration within the wider policing community. We can license access to the MLE to organisations whose learning needs are congruent with those of the Home Office police forces.
NCALT Senior User Group
On the 16th January 2008 NCALT held the latest Senior User Group (SUG) meeting at NPIA Ryton. This event was well attended by 35 Forces.
Richard Saunders, Chair of the SUG and Head of Learning and Development at Wiltshire, opened the day which covered a rich and varied agenda of topics. The morning sessions included lively discussion around key issues affecting Forces, and an update on the ongoing work of NCALT's Learning Outreach Team working with customers to improve the implementation and delivery of e-learning.
NCALT also presented its latest e-learning and applied research products and gave an update on the Service Delivery and support mechanisms.
After lunch, NCALT presented an overview of the landscape to Forces with regard to adoption of e-learning and this was supplemented by interactive workshops from two Forces, GMP and MPS.
The day closed with an interesting discussion around the adoption of Web 2.0 technologies including wiki's, blogs and other social networking tools.
The next SUG event is being held at Ryton on 1st April 2008.
