Being a police officer is not for everyone and joining as a senior manager will bring further challenges on top of this. Policing can be physically, mentally and emotionally demanding but it is also a very rewarding career. Whilst the focus of this programme is to bring in individuals with exceptional senior leadership skills from outside of policing you will still need to take on the responsibilities of being a police officer. Because of this you need to ensure that you are right for this role.
