NCALT has developed an e-learning authoring tool – Panda – that enables forces to rapidly, effectively and easily develop local police e-learning for use on the national policing Managed Learning Environment (MLE).

Panda was developed to support learning and development across the 43 Home Office Forces and the wider policing community. It enables timely learning design and delivery in an ever-changing and complex local policing environment. Panda allows practitioners to create local e-learning consistent with the nationally produced material and encourages forces to jointly develop and share materials.
 
Support:

NCALT will further support the use of the application, on a cost-recovery basis, through:

  • Consultation in all aspects of e-learning design, development and implementation 
  • Customer focussed end-user training sessions
  • Access to a subscription-based library of additional images and graphics
 
Panda is available now through the distribution of a secure download facility, to which forces are given access on signed agreement of the Panda licence agreement.
