Support Implementation

How can NCALT help?

NCALT has dedicated staff and systems in place to support the implementation of the MLE.  These include:

  • The Learning Outreach Team, a team of specialists established to support forces locally in implementing the MLE.
  • Discovery Workshops are run as a means of understanding each force’s current and future learning needs and of gaining a mutual understanding of NCALT’s potential contribution.
  • MLE System Training - The Learning Outreach Team provides in-house system training to administrative and training staff, who not only need to be conversant with the system to manage their learners but who, in many cases, will also be introducing their learners to the MLE for the first time.
  • IT Readiness Assessment and Technical Specification – NCALT maintains a technical specification for forces wishing to adopt the system. The Learning Outreach Team can also work with local forces to complete an IT Readiness Assessment, which will help to ensure that access to the MLE is in-line with the recommended technical specification.
  • Our E-learning Implementation Project Manager will provide advice and support to forces on implementing the national e-learning packages available, such as Management of Policing Information (MoPI), Initial Police Learning and Development Programme (IPLDP), and The Fraud Act 2007.
